Real Estate Photography Pre-Shoot Checklist
In today’s real estate market nearly all buyers begin their home search online. Following this guideline will help ensure your property is ready to make a great first impression and look its absolute best.
Thank you for your time and cooperation.
- Turn on all lamps and overhead lights in the home (replace any bulbs if needed)
- Open all blinds to let natural light in
- Hide all remote controls
- Move cords out of site
- Remove all personal belongings (these photos will be seen by the public)
- Stop all ceiling fans
- Clear home office of all clutter
- Clean all counter tops in the bathrooms
- Remove items out of shower and tub
- Put toilet seats down in all bathrooms
- Clear clutter from bedside tables
- Make sure beds are neat and tidy
- Remove all signs you have pets (crates, bowls, litter box, toys, etc)
- Remove all dishes from sinks
- Clean and minimize clutter on counter tops
- Remove all items and magnets from refrigerator
- Move any cars from driveway and ensure they will not be seen in photos
- Move garbage cans out of site
- Clean the pool (toys and equipment put away)
- Clean up backyard
The photo shoot will take no longer than 2 hours and all major furnished rooms will be photographed. The garage will not be photographed unless it has a special feature. The listing agent must state anything special you would like particularly photographed.
